Encrypt and Decrypt in NodeJS

Create a file named encdec.js and paste:

    return iv.toString('hex') + ':' + encrypted.toString('hex');

    console.log(error);
  }
}

Append these lines:

}

const text = "Hello World"
const pass = "secret1234"

const encText = encrypt(text, pass)
console.log('encrypted text', encText);

Then run:

Add the decryption function:

    return decryptedText.toString();

  }
}

And a test:
